If we're not careful, we can make a big mess out of the Playa. This would be bad.
While Black Rock is amazing at washing away the traces of the event from years before, there are still tell tale signs that we have been there.
That's why we go to great length to leave no trace.
Every year, we clean our camp area continuiously, and we ask your help to do this too.
Trash bags will be stored under the RVs to keep them from getting blown away.
Every year, our camp cleanup is mostly done last Sunday night. We then do a
final cleanup on Monday morning. Small holes that were dug for support bars were
filled back in. All things placed into the ground are removed, no matter how small (a nail lasts a long time in the desert). The entire camp
area is then "walked" over to compact any loose soil.
Only our departing tire tracks give any indication that we've been there.
